Tom Douglas is a freelance writer, copy editor and author, and has had four books with a military theme published in the Amazing Stories series: Canadian Spies, D-Day, Great Canadian War Heroes, and Valour at Vimy Ridge. He also self-published a family memoir, Some Sunny Day. Two chapters from that book ran as features in The Toronto Star and a third won an award in the City of Ottawa Short Story contest. Tom also wrote the memoirs of former Squadron Leader Wess McIntosh, and helped Wess self-publish the book, entitled Permission Granted.
In addition to Tom’s publishing credits, he also has a Durham Region connection. He taught Media Writing at Durham College back in the 70s and was founding editor of Oshawa/Whitby/Ajax-Pickering This Week.
