Mark Lefebvre is the Director of Self-Publishing and Author Relations at Kobo Inc. while serving as President of Canadian Booksellers Association and holding a board position with BookNet Canada. Until recently, he worked as the Book Operations Manager at Titles Bookstore (McMaster University) which was among the first bookstores in the world to implement a “deliver digital and print local” solution using an Espresso Book Machine.
A bookseller for almost twenty years, Mark has consistently demonstrated a thirst for innovation and the continued revisualization of the bookselling supply chain. Mark was instrumental in helping Chapters/Indigo evolve from a process of manual data entry of catalogue information to a leader in the exchanges of electronic data files with publishers. He played a significant role in the initial development of BookNet Canada’s Bronze, Silver and Gold standards of data certification and is an active member of Campus Stores Canada, CCRA, CRA/RUG. He’s sat on various industry study groups, such as BISG and BISAC.
Mark Lefebvre will be a speaker at the 2012 Ontario Writers' Conference.
