What began in 2008 as the dream of a handful of organizers from the Writers’ Circle of Durham Region became a full-fledged writers’ organization in 2009.

The Ontario Writers’ Conference has blossomed from its inaugural event into a premier arts writing/author organization.

Building on the success of OWC 2008, our mandate is to conduct educational, challenging and interactive workshops, panels, roundtables, etc. led by writers, arts-related facilitators and industry professionals.

We are proud to present our next main attraction: Ontario Writers’ Conference 2010, on May 1, 2010. We are most fortunate to have as our honorary patron the acclaimed award-winning author Wayson Choy.
